Origins:

The company started out by following in the footsteps of Sylla Dogliani.
Sylla, Mauro’s mother, was the first female entrepreneur in the Alba area, and began producing Barolo in the 1950s. With four children under her care, she managed to singlehandedly penetrate a market dominated by men with her brand, where she was soon known as the “Lady of the Langa”. After she passed away all too soon, Mauro founded a new company, which now flies high in world trade thanks to the quality of his wines, Barolo above all.

Territory:

Mauro Sebaste’s grapes come from Barolo cru vineyards, located in Alba, Barolo, La Morra, Serralunga, Monforte d’Alba and Vezza d’Alba. The company is located in Gallo d’Alba, a few steps from Grinzane Cavour. There stands a medieval castle which for 17 years was the home of Count Camillo Benso, one of the main players in the Unification of Italy. It is also the seat of the Piedmont region’s wine store, of the International Auction House of the Tartufo Bianco d’Alba and the ethnographic museum and memorabilia of Cavour.

People:

The owner Mauro Sebaste works with his wife Maria Teresa, and his daughters Sylla and Angelica, as well as a very close team of workers that regularly turns to long-time external collaborators for their input.

Hospitality:

From Monday to Saturday the company takes its guests on a journey to discover what their production entails, culminating in a broad and meticulously arranged tasting.
