Cantina Boffa Angelo

Origins:

Angelo Boffa founded his winery in the 1960s. He started out producing Dolcetto and Barbera, then joined by more structured and famous wines of the Langhe.
Their products have stayed true to the strictest tradition. They even decided not to age Barolo in barriques. This is a bit of a countertrend, but is grounded on a precise concept: not making the flavours that best express the wine’s individuality uniform.

Territory:

The setting is an administrative division of the municipality of Alba called Madonna di Como. It is an outstanding cru for Dolcetto d’Alba, a guarantee of quality for this wine and grape variety.

People:

Enzo and his father Angelo run the company all on their own managing to produce 130,000 bottles, with export that reaches the United States and India. A quick glance at their online retailers page gives you an idea of how well-known they are for their experience and appreciated for their simplicity.
