Cantina Lano Gianluigi

Origins:

Lano winery is young.
Gianluigi has only been making wine from his father’s grapes and bottling it since 1993. Nevertheless, his wines have already been mentioned in some of the most important guides. The small business is looking towards the future, also focusing on the organic sector – a process that started in 2014 with the conversion of the land and that will bear fruits soon.

Territory:

We are 5 km from Alba, in the hills between the village of San Rocco Seno d’Elvio and Treiso. The land of Barbaresco crus and a very ancient town, Treiso is worth a visit for its restaurants, as well as Le Rocche dei Sette Fratelli (“the rocks of the Seven Brothers”), a spectacular natural canyon which lies in the midst of its vineyards. The small town square is exactly like a terrace with a panoramic view. From there you can take in both the majesty of the Alps and the gently-rolling hills.

People:

Husband and wife Gianluigi and Daniela lead the business together.

Hospitality:

Despite the small size of the company, the Lano family welcomes visitors in small groups, both during the week and on the weekend. It’s not necessary to book in advance, you just need to let them know you are coming the day before you arrive.
